Over the last few years, I’ve tested a lot of survey platforms, GPT apps, and research panels. Some are pure survey sites, and a couple are high-paying research panels that pay even more for interviews and missions. Earning money from surveys takes patience because you won’t qualify for every survey, and it can be very frustrating at first. But if you stay consistent, keep applying, and get the hang of it, things start to improve. The more surveys you complete successfully, the more opportunities you’ll start to receive.
Some of these platforms have mobile apps, others don’t. Some are available worldwide, while a few only work in countries like the US, UK, and Canada. I’ve also highlighted a link in green where you can apply for each site. Let’s get into the list.

Prolific is a survey site. They are well known for having almost no disqualifications and decent pay. They have a very extensive About You section that is used to match users to studies that they qualify for. Most of Prolific’s surveys are academic, so there will be more surveys available during the academic year. Most surveys will pay at least £6 / $8 per hour, and the minimum to cash out is £6 or $6. The payment is in GBP and USD, but it can be converted to other currencies by PayPal. They do have a minimum rate of $8 per hour, though.
Depending on your location, it can take a while to get in due to their waitlist, and most users will be asked for their ID. Earnings depend on each person’s demographics, how much time they spend, what time of day they’re on, etc. I highly recommend signing up for Prolific.

The next one is Connect by CloudResearch. It’s a solid alternative to Prolific with decent pay and well-designed surveys. I’ve used it for over three months and made around $60 for 1.5 to 2 hours of total work. The site estimates how long each survey takes and shows real-time hourly rates based on others’ completion times. You also get the option to rate the researcher after each survey, which helps avoid low-quality studies. It regularly asks you new demographic questions so researchers can match you to relevant studies. There are browser notifications to alert you about new surveys, and while some are desktop-only, many work on mobile too.
Payouts can take up to 14 days for approval. You can withdraw anytime via Amazon gift cards, but for PayPal, you need at least $5, and $25 for direct deposit. PayPal payouts are fast, I received mine within a minute.
3. Amazon MTurk
The next one is Amazon Mechanical Turk, and it’s not exactly a survey site. It’s a microtasking platform where you get paid to complete small tasks called HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks). These include things like surveys, data entry, transcription, image or video labeling, content moderation, and more. The tasks are simple and vary in pay depending on type and requester.

The next one is DSCout, this one is slightly different, it’s a mobile-based market research platform that pays users called Scouts to complete “missions” for companies seeking feedback on their products, services, or user experiences. These missions vary in format and can include answering questions, writing journal entries, or submitting short videos. Each mission clearly states the requirements, duration, and pay; some last a week, while quick “Express missions” take just 1–5 minutes and pay around $1–$5. Most standard missions pay $25–$500, depending on the task, and payment is sent directly to PayPal.
To apply for missions, you answer a few screening questions, and if selected, you complete the task through the mobile app (though a web version exists, the app is required for most tasks). The next one is Respondent.io, it is a market research platform that connects people with companies seeking in-depth feedback. It’s not a typical survey site; instead, it focuses on paid research studies and interviews tailored to your background and expertise. Participants can apply for up to three projects per day, and if you get selected, then you will take part in one-on-one interviews or online studies. Payments typically range from $5 to $300 or more per session, depending on the project’s format and complexity. Payout is made via PayPal.
Qualifying on Respondent depends on your work experience, how well you answer screening questions, and some luck, since not all applicants are selected. Most tasks are remote, but some higher-paying ones may require in-person attendance. It’s a decent platform to earn side income, but not a reliable full-time source due to the limited number of available projects.

YouGov is another survey site. YouGov has been pretty good for me. Payment is decent, and their surveys always work. They don’t invite you unless you’re in the target demographic, and if you fail to qualify, they offer you a different survey instead. So you never waste your time.
But don’t rush it when you answer surveys. They’ll stop sending you the better surveys, this goes for all survey sites. They know how long a survey should take to answer.I have cashed in for $50 twice, or maybe 3 times. It literally took like a year, and I do every survey they send me- a few a week.

Five Surveys is another new survey site. As the name suggests, once you complete five surveys, you get paid, simple as that. There’s no complicated points system or long wait for rewards. In a few other supported countries, the reward is €3, which is still very rewarding.
What I also appreciate is that it’s available both on the website and through their Android and iOS apps, so you can take surveys however you prefer. It’s honestly one of the most straightforward and highest-paying survey sites I’ve tried.

They also offer gaming tasks where you’re paid based on the level you reach in a game. However, these games aren’t run directly by Prime Opinion, so if there’s an issue with points not being credited, their support can’t do much about it. I completed one gaming offer and didn’t receive my points, and unfortunately, they couldn’t help. That experience put me off from doing gaming offers again, even though I did get paid once, so it’s a hit or miss with those.
